The Folks Hotel Konepaja is a newcomer to the Helsinki hotel scene. The unique lifestyle hotel opened its doors in October 2020. Sun Effects designed and executed the facade lighting and the entrance yard light art installation for the hotel.

Light art installation “Locomotion” is a centerpiece of the Folks Hotel Konepaja entrance yard. The light art, which extends to two facades, is inspired by the railway network that previously dominated the Konepaja region. Calm façade lighting gathers up the details from the architecture and creates an unique atmosphere.
